RUG PROCESSING - IN TUFTED RUGS, YARNS ARE WRAPPED IN THREAD, AND ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE RUG, THERE IS COTTON BACKING TO GLUE THE YARNS TIGHTLY. COTTON BACKING MAKES THE RUG ANTI-SLIP AND GIVES IT A FINISHED LOOK.

FINE BLENDED WOOL - THIS WOOL HAS MEDIUM WOOL FIBER, MADE BY MIXING 40% NEW ZEALAND WOOL AND 60% INDIAN WOOL. THIS MAKES THE WOOL MORE DURABLE. HOWEVER, AS IT IS MADE UP OF TWO TYPES OF FIBERS, IT IS KNOWN AS BLENDED WOOL. THEY ARE SOFT AND DURABLE, BUT COMPARED TO NEW ZEALAND WOOL, BLENDED WOOLS HAVE SHEDDING PROBLEMS. ALSO, THEY ARE NOT AS SMOOTH AND BRIGHT AS NEW ZEALAND WOOL.

NEW ZEALAND WOOL - THESE WOOLS ARE IMPORTED FROM NEW ZEALAND AND ARE VERY SOFT AND BRIGHT. WITH A LONG WOOL FIBER, THEY MAKE THE RUG SMOOTH AND BRIGHT, AND THEY HAVE VERY FEW SHEDDING PROBLEMS.

ALL WOOL RUGS SLIGHTLY SHED IN THE BEGINNING, BUT AFTER USING FOR A FEW WEEKS, THEY BECOME NORMAL.
